Following an investigation with third-party cybersecurity specialists, PJ&A confirmed unauthorized access to its network between March 27, 2023, and May 2, 2023. During this period, an unauthorized party accessed Concentra patient information between April 7, 2023, and April 19, 2023.
After identifying the breach, PJ&A reviewed compromised files to determine the extent of the leak and affected individuals. The investigation revealed that 13,300,750 people were impacted by the breach, prompting PJ&A to notify Concentra. Concentra initiated its investigation following PJ&A’s disclosure.
On February 4, 2024, PJ&A commenced sending data breach notification letters to affected individuals, detailing the compromised information. Notably, Concentra’s computer network remained unaffected, and all compromised data was stored on PJ&A’s network.
